Carol Silverman Saunders Joins The Female Patient®

PARSIPPANY, NJ June 18, 2007 — Quadrant HealthCom Inc.(QHI) is pleased to announce that Carol Silverman Saunders has joined The Female Patient® as Editor. Carol will be working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, Vivian Dickerson, MD and the editorial board to further the mission of publishing informative and cutting edge information on all facets of women’s health to clinicians who treat female patients.
Carol has an extensive background in journal editing, writing, and medical
education. Most recently she was Vice President, Group Account Supervisor,
at Ogilvy Healthworld (the medical education division of Ogilvy Worldwide).
Prior to that she was with BioScience Communications (the medical education
division of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide) for 3 years, in both editorial
and account services capacities. At both Ogilvy and BioScience she was
deeply involved in publication planning, writing, and editing, for major
pharmaceutical clients. Her in-depth journal editing experience comes from
her 5 years at Patient Care, a peer-reviewed medical journal for primary
care physicians, which at the time was owned by Medical Economics Company.
She is also an award-winning author of 3 books and hundreds of magazine
and newspaper articles. She was featured on CNN news, NPR radio, and
in many other media for her book, Safe at School: Awareness and Action
for Parents. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Good
Housekeeping, Women’s Day, Writer’s Digest, Parents, and many other publications.
